International Spinal cord database

THE DATABASE REMAINS ACCESSIBLE IN ITS ORIGINAL FORM, AS IT WAS WHEN DATA COLLECTION CEASED IN 2008

The Spinal Cord Injury Database was formally launched in 2005 and is designed as an international information hub, providing access to innovations in spinal cord injury treatment. Dr. Laurance Johnston is the head of the database and is responsible for verifying all information before it is made available. The project is founded on the belief that a cure can be found by combining knowledge and methods from around the world, regardless of origin.

The collection of new material for the database ceased in 2008 due to various regulations and privacy concerns.

The goal of the database was to make information on a variety of spinal cord injury treatments accessible to patients, their families, friends and caregivers.
